Mountain chain Khamar Daban is one of the most beautiful places of lake Baikal located at the south part of the lake. Mountain rivers, waterfalls, Siberian taiga, lakes, meadows…….You can observe all this beauty during trekking to Peak Chersky.

Itinerary: Irkutsk – Sludianka – peak Chersky – Sludianka
– Irkutsk – Listvianka

Day 1: IRKUTSK – KULTUK – SLUDIANKA
Arrival in Irkutsk. Meet with local guide and short city tour of Irkutsk. Departure to the village Kultuk - the south point of lake Baikal. Stop at the observation platform where the beautiful view opens at the Kultuk gulf and mountains Khamar-Daban. Arrival in Sludianka – small town situated on the lake Baikal shore, 110 km from Irkutsk. Accommodation at private Guest house located in city center. In Sludianka you can visit Gigalov`s Mineral Museum with a collection of 1000 items from all over the world.
Day 2: SLUDIANKA – METEO STATION
Breakfast. Trekking to the river Sludianka to the summit of mountain range. The path passes over the marble carrière and rise up. You can explore pure water of mountain rivers, rocks, rich flora. Lunch. Arrival at the meteo station, accommodation at wooden house or in a tent. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: peak CHERSKY
Breakfast. Trekking to the meadows where picturesque view opens at the Khamar Daban mountain range. The path becomes more narrow. Lunch on the road. Acsent to the Peak Chersky (2090 meters). If the weather is good you`ll see Baikal lake and small lake located at the mountain, the name of this lake is «heart» because of its form. Return to the camp. Dinner at the camp.
Day 4: Canyon «TCHERTOVY VOROTA» (Gates of devil)Breakfast. Trekking to «Tchertovy Vorota». Lunch on the road. Return to the camp. Dinner.
Day 6: LISTVIANKA
Breakfast. Full day excursion to the Listvianka village, 70 km from Irkutsk. On the road visit to the museum of wooden architecture «Talsy». Arrival in Listvianka. Visit to the Baikal museum. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit to the mountain Chersky to see the Angara river source and south part of lake Baikal with beautiful Khamar Daban mountain range. Walking tour at the village Krestovka with visit to Saint Nicolas church. Return to Irkutsk.
Day 7: DEPARTURE
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport or at the train station. Departure from Irkutsk
