Ice sculpture Festival with Shrove-tide on lake Baikal

We offer you winter program which includes two important and interesting events: The the 5th Baikal Festival of the ice sculpture “Crystal Seal” that will take place on the Baikal Lake`s ice in the Listvianka village and Shrove-tide (Maslenitsa) that will take place in the museum of wooden architecture `Taltsy`.

12.02.10 IRKUTSK - LISTVIANKA
Arrival in Irkutsk, meet with guide and transfer to the Lsitvianka village, located 70 km from Irkutsk
Arrival, visit to the museum of lake Baikal where you `ll see seals in the aquarium and will know information about the flora and the fauna of lake Baikal. Visit by chair lift to the mountain Chersky where the beautiful view opens at lake Baikal south part and source of Angara river. Lunch at local restaurant `Last Century` (tasting some meals of lake Baikal fish). Walking tour at the village Krestovka with visit to the Saint Nicolas church. Check in at hotel Mayak  : Singl / Twin standard rooms.
13.02.10 LISTVIANKA
Breakfast. Enjoy festival 'Crystal Seal' whole day in the Ice village: visit to the ice houses, ice attractions (supplement services: snowmobile, skating on lake Baikal ice) drink a tea at the ice cafe and look at people swimming in the pool located on the ice!
14:00 - 16:00 Official part of the ice show naming the winners of the Festival Return to the hotel, rest, Russian bunya (supplement service).
14.02.10 LISTVIANKA - TALTSY - IRKUTSK
Breakfast. Dog sledding tour at the valley Krestovay near the forest, 3 km. Early lunch at one of Listvanka restaurant (Baikalskye Terema or Baikal Legend restaurants). Transfer to Taltsy museum of wooden architecture to see the Shrove-tide - Maslenitsa – Russian Pancake Festival, an ancient holiday from the pagan times, very popular till our days. Arrival, observation of folk show with Russian games, some merry competitions, bonfires, tobogganing (from 100 m high), horse troika-riding, public folklore performance dedicated to the Shrove-tide and eat the pancakes. Arrival in Irkutsk, check in at hotel Europe .
15.02.10 IRKUTSK
Breakfast. City tour of Irkutsk with visit to the museum of Decembrist memorial complex (Volkonsky house). During city tour to see wooden houses, churches, Znamensky Monastery, main streets of Irkutsk, theatres and many other historical sights.
16.02.10 IRKUTSK - departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Irkutsk
